Sir David Attenborough is Britain’s best known and most loved natural history film maker, and has been active in the conservation world throughout his career.
His links to World Land Trust go back a long way and began when working with the charity’s CEO John Burton to protect the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda following his 'Life on Earth' programmes. He has been a supporter of the charity since it was founded in 1989 and became an official Patron in 2003.
Sir David is a firm believer in the World Land Trust’s use of land acquisition as a tool for conservation.
Other World Land Trust patrons are: David Gower OBE, wildlife lover and former captain of the England cricket team and Chris Packham, wildife presenter and author.
"The money that is given to the World Land Trust, in my estimation,
has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of." Sir David Attenborough
